Unitron Hearing Aids
The first Canadian manufacturer of hearing aid technology, Unitron was founded in Newfoundland, Canada, by partners Fred Stork, Rolf Strothmann, and Rolf Dohmer in 1964.
The primary focus of Unitron’s product development has been on providing features that benefit the people who use them, such as more powerful BTE hearing aids for individuals with profound to severe hearing loss from the 1960s through mid-1980s, and easily programmable, user-friendly instruments with intuitive fitting software in the 1990s.
Since the beginning of the digital revolution in hearing aid manufacturing, Unitron introduced Unison and other models with signature features to address issues related to speech preservation and intelligibility, including their award-winning AntiShock, SmartFocus, and SpeechZone 2 technologies.
Unitron has developed a large network of distribution partners in 70 countries and in 20 international offices, moving them closer to becoming a worldwide leader in the hearing aid manufacturing industry.
