When it comes to hearing loss, like any health condition, it can be tricky to reach out for support.
Whether you or someone you know has been suffering from hearing loss, it’s important to reach out for support. If you feel anxious about taking that first step to better hearing, don’t worry—it’s perfectly natural.
With so many Americans facing hearing impairments in some form, it may be surprising to learn that it takes people an average of seven years to seek treatment.
Why is this?
Why Do Patients Delay Treatment?
Well, over our many years looking after those with hearing loss, we’ve found that there are two main reasons people don’t seek help sooner.
The first: the social stigma of wearing hearing aids.
To quash some of these concerns, today’s hearing technology is not the bulky and outdated products you’re probably envisioning. With sleek, smaller devices available, most of our patients find their hearing aids go relatively undetected.
The second is the anxiety that financial burden can cause.
Whether you’re looking to find some answers to a new or untreated hearing loss or you’re looking to upgrade your current hearing solution, the financial implications can be daunting.
That’s why at West Coast Hearing & Balance Center we help you navigate the world of hearing by showing you all the options available to find you the perfect solution.
On top of this, we’ll put our in-house insurance specialist on the case to contact your insurer on your behalf and ensure you’re receiving all the benefits you’re owed.
“Above and beyond customer service. They contacted my insurance company and set up my appointment.” – T. Palermo
Julianne’s Story

Finally able to hear music for the first time in years, Julianne recalls shedding tears of joy!
